Camilla Skouboe Pedersen

Camilla is currently on maternity leave.
Camilla joined Høiberg in 2009 and advises our clients on the protection of IPR within all areas of life sciences, primarily biochemistry, biotechnology and molecular biology.
She graduated from University of Aarhus in 2001 and was awarded the PhD degree in 2005. During her PhD Camilla obtained research experience within yeast genetics, protein purification and characterisation. After that, Camilla worked as a postdoctoral fellow within the field of DNA repair and genomic instability.
Camilla is a member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys).

Claus is a partner and European Patent Attorney specialising in mechanical technology, medico technology, processing equipment, manufacturing technology, control systems and software. Claus started in the patent profession in 1990 as a patent examiner at the European Patent Office in the Netherlands. Claus has since 1995 advised on patents and registered design protection, including drafting of patent applications, patent infringement assessments, and opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office and in Denmark. He was co-founder of a patent practice and partner since 1998 and took over its Copenhagen office in 2005 before merging this firm with Høiberg in 2006.
Claus is also authorised European Design Attorney at OHIM (Office of Harmonization in the Internal Market) and teaches IPR on the CEIPI-course in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2010, he is appointed technical judge at the Maritime and Commercial Court and acts as court appointed technical expert in patent related legal disputes.
Claus is a member of EPI (European Patent Institute), ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys), FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle), FIR (Foreningen Industriel Retsbeskyttelse), AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle) and LES (Licensing Executives Society).
Furthermore, Claus is treasurer at ADIPA and chairman of Høiberg's board of directors.

Inge Leffers

Inge has worked for a Copenhagen based intellectual property firm for more than 25 years before joining Høiberg in 2005. Her expertise covers all aspects of intellectual property law, including protection and defense of trademarks and designs, and enforcement of copyright. Inge is also widely experienced in settlement agreements as well as counterfeit cases.
Inge is an authorized representative before OHIM (Office of Harmonization in the Internal Market) and a member of INTA (International Trademark Association).

Jacob Jensen

Jacob is a European Patent Attorney and advises primarily within the fields of mechanical technology, processing equipment, medical devices, thermodynamics and heating systems.
Before joining Høiberg Jacob was employed for five years as an in-house patent attorney in a large company where he worked with different types of heating systems and mechanical technology. He has a background in physics and mathematics and graduated as MSc (Physics) in 2004.
Jacob is also an authorised European Trademark & Design Attorney at OHIM (Office of Harmonization in the Internal Market) and a Certified Danish Patent Agent (CDPA).
Jacob is a member of EPI (European Patent Institute) and ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys).

Jan Hoff Larsen

Jan joined Høiberg in 2008 and is handling all Høiberg's IT systems. He maintains Høiberg's IT environment, IT agreements and user support. He has formerly worked with IT support of Microsoft Office, Windows 2000/XP, Active Directory and Cisco VPN.

Janni Wandahl Pedersen

Janni joined Høiberg in 2009 and is working as a patent attorney.
Janni graduated as MSc in human biology from the University of Copenhagen in 2003, an education with emphasis on pathophysiology, cell biology and pharmacology. She obtained the PhD degree in 2007 from the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen. Her PhD project focused on manipulation of gene expression by RNA interference on specific signalling pathways involved in both stem cells and cancer.
After her PhD, Janni worked as a post-doc in a large international company investigating the effects of probiotics.
Janni is an associated member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys).

Jens is a European Patent Attorney and advises our clients about protection of IPR in all fields of life science, especially molecular biology and medico technology.
Jens joined Høiberg in 2006 and has a background in biochemistry and molecular biology from University of Aarhus where he was awarded the PhD degree in 2005. After that, he continued his studies of transcription and mRNA metabolism as a post doctoral fellow. Simultaneously, Jens has studied business administration at Aarhus Business School at the University of Aarhus and in 2008 he obtained the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. Jens is also a Certified Danish Patent Agent (CDPA).

Jens Viktor Nørgaard

Jens Viktor is a partner and European Patent Attorney at Høiberg and advises clients within life science on IPR strategy, IPR management, IPR aspects of business development, freedom to operate, validity, oppositions and appeals before the EPO (European Patent Office), in addition to drafting and prosecution of patent applications.
Jens Viktor initially worked at Høiberg from 1998 to 2003 and has since gained extensive experience from the biotech industry serving as Director of IPR at two Danish biotech companies. In 2008 Jens Viktor returned to become a partner at Høiberg. Prior to joining the patent profession, Jens Viktor did research within plant biotechnology at the University of Copenhagen.
Jens Viktor is a member of EPI (European Patent Institute), ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys), FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle), FIR (Foreningen Industriel Retsbeskyttelse) and AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle) and is active as an EPI tutor for the European Qualifying Examination.

Jette de Fries

Jette de Fries is European Trademark & Design Attorney and partner. Her practice areas involve international intellectual property protection and enforcement, prosecution and protection of trademarks, copyright, designs and intellectual property on the Internet. Jette also advises on trademark settlement agreements and trademark license agreements. Jette has been active in the IPR field since 1990 and joined Høiberg in 1998.

Lene is European Patent Attorney and assists clients primarily within the chemical field as for example the pharmaceutical area, the electrochemical area and the technical chemical area as well as the field relating to food chemistry. She entered the IPR field in 2001, joined Høiberg in 2008 and also graduated as European Patent Attorney in 2008.
Lene graduated from the Technical University of Denmark in 1996, and obtained afterwards a PhD within the electrochemical field from the Technical University of Denmark.

Louise Aagaard

Louise is a partner at Høiberg, a member of Høiberg's board of directors and a qualified European Patent Attorney. Louise has a background as biochemist and has research experience within the fields of mammalian cell cycle and chromatin structure regulation. She graduated as MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen and subsequently obtained a PhD in Genetics from the University of Vienna. Since 2001 Louise has advised on patent related issues, including drafting and prosecution of patent applications, oppositions, assessments of patent portfolios, freedom to operate analysis and assistance in litigation. She specialises in the area of life science, including biotech, pharma, food industry and green tech. She qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2004.
In addition, Louise lectures at IPR courses and patent conferences. She is a member of EPI (European Patent Institute), ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys), FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle), FIR (Foreningen Industriel Retsbeskyttelse) and AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle). Louise Meinert Niclasen

Louise is a patent attorney with a strong scientific background in molecular biology and protein science.
After finishing her PhD from University of Copenhagen in 2008, Louise joined Høiberg in 2009. Louise has research experience in the field of protein biology, molecular biology, pathogenic bacteria and innate immunity in relation to bacterial infections.
Louise is a member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys).

As a patent attorney Marielle advises clients on the protection of intellectual property primarily within the life sciences. Marielle joined Høiberg in 2007.
Marielle obtained the Industrial PhD degree in 2007 from the University of Copenhagen, in collaboration with the National University Hospital, a medium sized Medicon Valley based biotechnology company, and the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. Her PhD project focused on epigenetics and cancer. Prior to this, Marielle graduated as MSc in human biology from the University of Copenhagen in 2003, an education with emphasis on pathophysiology, cell biology and pharmacology.
Marielle is a Certified Danish Patent Agent (CDPA) and a member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys) and FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle).

Nanna Meyland Nicolaisen

Nanna has a background within the fields of materials - and surface science. She has mainly worked with different spectroscopy and microscopy techniques, investigating the properties of metal oxides and their part in processes relevant for e.g. catalysis, sensors and cleaning of gases.
Nanna has worked with IPR since 2007 and joined Høiberg as patent attorney in 2010.
Nanna is an associated member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys).
Nadine Eckert-Boulet

Nadine is a patent attorney and joined Høiberg in 2012.
She graduated from a French engineering school in 2001. This education focused on biochemistry in the context of biotechnology, and as such included biotechnology-relevant topics such as fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, besides the more traditional biology-oriented topics such as microbiology, metabolic engineering and molecular biology.
During her PhD Nadine investigated nutrient sensing in yeast by performing whole-genome transcription analysis and obtained research experience within fermentation and bioinformatics. After being awarded the PhD degree in 2006, Nadine worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Copenhagen until 2012. Her research focused on DNA repair and ageing, thus acquiring experience within the fields of molecular biology, yeast genetics, fluorescence microscopy and cancer.

Pernille Andersen Weng

Pernille joined Høiberg in 2009 and is working as a patent attorney.
Previously, she has been working in the field of malaria vaccine research as a post-doc at the University of Copenhagen. She obtained her PhD degree in 2007 which was specialised in bioinformatics, protein structure modelling and mapping of antibody epitopes. Additionally, she has experience in protein chemistry and NMR spectroscopy.
Pernille is a member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys).

Pernille Winding Gojkovic

Pernille is a partner and European Patent Attorney and advises our clients on the protection and enforcement of IPR - primarily within life sciences. She joined Høiberg in 2005 and represents clients working within the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, drug discovery, medico technology, health care and nutraceuticals. She regularly lectures on IPR protection and strategy at several Scandinavian universities.
She completed both her Master and PhD degrees at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark and worked as an assistant professor at the University of Copenhagen prior to joining Høiberg. Pernille is also a Certified Danish Patent Agent (CDPA).

Peter Borg Gaarde

Peter is a European Patent Attorney and joined Høiberg in 2007 with a background in physics and mathematics and elite cycling. His current specialities include software patenting, medical devices, telecom applications and processing technology.
Before entering the IPR field Peter was employed for seven years in the telecom industry working mainly with product development (fiber optics). Peter graduated in 2000 with a thesis on X-ray scattering, with experiments conducted at synchrotron facilities in Hamburg and Grenoble.
Peter is also a Certified Danish Patent Agent (CDPA).

Peter Holm

Peter joined Høiberg in 2006. As a patent attorney at Høiberg Peter manages patent portfolios and advises clients on intellectual property matters, primarily within the life science field. He has experience from patentability analysis, studies on behalf of clients seeking to market products, form research collaborations, and best position themselves to attract financing, as well as counselling clients involved in opposition proceedings. He also gives lectures on aspects of patenting and commercialization.
Peter graduated as MSc in chemistry at Linköping University, followed by a PhD, pursued at Karolinska Institutet and Lund University, where he studied structural and functional aspects of membrane proteins involved in metabolism, detoxification and inflammatory response. Subsequently, Peter was awarded a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Aarhus where he worked on ion pumping proteins and membrane receptors involved in neuronal disease.
Peter is also a Certified Danish Patent Agent (CDPA).
Peter is a member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys) and FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle).

Rasmus Nørgaard

Rasmus became (external) member of the board in 2002. Rasmus has a background in finance and business development, having worked at Unibank, McKinsey and Nordea. The relationship with Høiberg was established when Rasmus was responsible for launching Venture Cup in Denmark while working for McKinsey. Rasmus established his own real estate investment company in 2005, which focuses on investing in commercial properties in the Nordic countries.

Sanne Kjeldmand

Sanne has previously worked at the Danish Patent and Trademark Office; in Receiving Office for European and PCT patent applications. She has also worked as a patent administrator in an industry patent department, and as an IPR assistant for a Copenhagen based intellectual property firm. Sanne joined Høiberg in 2006.

Susanne Høiberg

Susanne is currently on leave (till 4 June 2013).
Susanne entered the IPR profession in 1990 when joining a Copenhagen based intellectual property firm.
Høiberg was founded by Susanne in 1995, where she is now CEO and a member of Høiberg's board of directors.
She specialises in patent portfolio strategy and innovation management within the areas of biotechnology, medicine and medico-technology with issues that range from prosecution globally, licensing, collaborations and technology acquisitions, patent validity and infringement.
Susanne graduated from medical school at University of Copenhagen in 1988, and worked as a medical doctor in Glostrup Hospital as well as a cancer researcher before entering the IPR field.
Susanne teaches IPR in CEIPI Denmark and gives lectures and seminars on various IPR issues.
Susanne is a member of ADIPA (Association of Danish Intellectual Property Attorneys), FICPI (Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle), FIR (Foreningen Industriel Retsbeskyttelse), EPI (European Patent Institute) and AIPPI (Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Industrielle).
